SA vs IND 2018: Ravi Shastri Rates the Third Test Win as the Best Overseas Test Win

Team India registered an emphatic victory in the third Test at the Wanderers in Johannesburg as they defeated the hosts by 63 runs. The third Test was full of controversy majorly marked by the playing surface. The pitch in the third Test was the focal point and was almost unplayable for the major part of the match. However, the Indian the batsmen showed great courage and bravery facing the hostile bowling attack of the hosts.
The third day of the Test ended in a very controversial manner as a ball delivered by Jasprit Bumrah struck Dean Elgar on the visor of the helmet. Match referee Andy Pycroft came out on to the field and the player walked off until a further decision was made later in the day.
The Proteas batsmen started day four strongly as Dean Elgar and Hashim Amla were involved in a 119 runs partnership for the third wicket. However, a burst from the Indian seamers and a middle order batting collapse resulted in an Indian victory. Mohammed Shami was the pick of the bowlers for the tourists as he picked up five wickets in the second innings.

Team India’s head coach Ravi Shastri praised the boys and rated the win as one of the best overseas Test win. Shastri took to Twitter and wrote:
