Bahubali 2, the SS Rajamouli visual treat, remains at the top of the list with a record 41 crores collection on the first day.
The occupancy rates of the Sachin biopic was almost the same as Bahubali in tier one cities. The footfall is expected to increase in the upcoming days.
Sachin’s biopic also could not match the record of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story which registered 21.6 crores its opening day.
Directed by James Erskin, the movie has been produced by 200 Not Out production and released in Hindi, Marathi, English, Tamil and Telugu. The music of the movie is given by Oscar-winning genius AR Rahman.
Fans were keenly waiting for the movie to hit the theatre since the last one and half year when the idea was first announced to the public.
Biopic contains some real life footages from Sachin personal life which has been never seen before. Sachin himself makes his acting debut and has sung a song in his mother tongue Marathi for a personal connect with his local admirers.
Sachin Tendulkar is unarguably the most revered cricketer in the history of Indian cricket. His career which spanned close to two and the half decade was an iconic one and drew millions to the sport in India. At the peak of his cricketing prowess, Sachin was often put under pressure of carrying the entire team’s responsibility.
The success of this biopic only tells the amount of love and respect the fans have in for him.
