Sachin Tendulkar Congratulates Mayank Agarwal For His First Test Century

The three-match Test series against South Africa has started in Visakhapatnam. Both the Indian openers have scored their first centuries as an opener in the home ground. Mayank Agarwal And Rohit Sharma have given all the answers through their bat.

Mayank Agarwal is playing his first Test series in home ground. The player was able to score his first century with the support of experienced limited-overs opener Rohit Sharma. In the West Indies tour. Mayank gave a degrading performance. In the two Test matches, he scored just 80 runs in total.

In the home ground, he proved his ability in the Test match. On the rain-interrupted first day of Visakhapatnam Test, Mayank was not able to score hundred but the next day he continued and successfully managed to hit the century. Through the Twitter, Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Mayank on his ton. Tendulkar praised his journey since his Test debut in Australia.

Mayank made his Test debut in December 2018 against Australia at Melbourne. In the two-match Test series against Australia, he scored 195 runs. He scored two half-centuries but was not able to convert those into the hundred. Finally, his struggle to score a hundred was over in the Test match against South Africa.

In total, he has played four Test match and now he playing his fifth Test match against the Proteas. The 28-year old has not made the debut in limited-overs format for India. He has been regular in domestic cricket as he has played 54 first-class games, 75 List A matches and 134 T20s. Mayank was part of India A team where his performance was impressive. He has also played in IPL for many franchises.
