Sachin Tendulkar Involved In Shocking Blunder On Twitter

There are very few sports personality in the world who enjoy as much fan following as cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. In fact, the former India captain is treated no less than a demigod in this cricket-obsessed country. But this blind fan-following might land many fans in trouble after a recent goof-up on Twitter.
The incident took place when Sachin took to the social media platform to promote a fitness campaign, asking people for their friends’ phone numbers who come up with excuses for adopting a healthy lifestyle. The Master Blaster asked for the phone numbers in order to give a handful of people a pep talk to encourage them to adopt a healthy way of living.
And as soon as Tendulkar posted his tweet, the fans flooded the social media with their phone numbers without realising that revealing the personal details on a social media might cause them a whole lot of trouble than anything good.
“Have friends with many excuses to not get fit? Tag them using #NoExcuses with their cities & mobile no & I may call to give them a pep talk!,” he tweeted.
The fans were unhesitatingly posting the contact details on the tweet and when a fan warned them of the dire consequences, someone replied:
“Kuch nahi hoga yaar, bhagwan ne bola hai to karneka.(Nothing will happen mate, when god has asked you have to do).”
But then a couple of tweets from an Australian web security would have surely made the fans realise the blunder they had committed.
How do you mine troves of phone numbers from Indians? Get a famous cricketer to politely ask people to dox their friends! #NoExcuses https://t.co/PYPCvXdqdr

Another person too made sure to make the fans realise the huge mistake they had done.
This is a privacy disaster. Sharing personal info here (esp mobile numbers) can get you banned. You might land in jail too.

After a while, Tendulkar’s tweet was deleted for obvious reasons but the followers must remain cautious from next time onwards to avoid any goof-up like this.
