The legendary cricketer was the second most run-scorer for the team in the Asia Cup 2012. However, his good can not lead the Men in Blue to the finals. He scored 172 runs in three matches at an average of 57.33 in the tournament.
However, after the mega event, he didn’t play an ODI game. He continued to be part of the longest format of cricket. In November 2013, he bid adieu to the game after playing the last Test match in the home ground, Mumbai.
Currently, the player is the mentor for the Mumbai Indians team in the Indian Premier League. He was also the part of the Road Safety World Series 2020 where he led Indian Legends.
