His consistent performance with the bat and ball gave him a place in the mega event. But after the Asia Cup 2012, he featured in just one more international game that was in a T20I in South Africa in 2012.
His ineffective performance in the mega event costed his place. Since then, he has failed to cement his place in the Indian team.
Talking about his credentials, he has 13 wickets and 236 runs in 22 T20I matches. In 57 ODIs, he has notched up 33 wickets and scored 810 runs.
Despite losing his place in the Indian team, the allrounder has never left playing the domestic cricket. He regularly featured in IPL before going unsold in the IPL 2020 auction.
