The God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, apart from his unparalleled Cricket career and his terrific techniques, is also well-known for making several prophecies regarding the sport. Like umpteen others, it seems the one he made about the Baroda player, Hardik Pandya, has turned out to be true.
On Master blaster’s birthday yesterday, Mumbai Indians (MI) shared a tweet quoting his prediction about Hardik Pandya. Stirred by Pandya’s performance in his debut Indian Premier League(IPL) in 2015, the legendary cricketer felicitated him and told him that given his talent, he was fated to be a big thing in cricket in the upcoming years.
Mumbai Indians Tweets Sachin Tendulkar’s Prediction:
“The way you’re playing and the kind of potential and talent that you have, you’ll play for India in another one to one and a half years,” the tweet read.

Hardik Pandya made a decent impact:
Having played domestic cricket for Baroda Cricket Team during his early years, Pandya featured in IPL in 2015 for Mumbai Indians. It was after his marvellous IPL’s performance that caught the eye of the national selectors and managed entry into the Indian National Team. He made the debut against Australia in January 2016. And since then, he has been a regular player for the Indian team.
The 26-year-old has played 54 ODIs, 40 T20Is, and 11 Test matches so far. The allrounder has picked up 17 Tests, 54 ODIs, and 32 T20Is wickets. He has scored 532 Tests, 957 ODIs, and 310 T20I runs.
Hardik last played with the team against South Africa in 2019. Since then, he has been out of the team because of the injury. In March, he recovered from the injury and was set to make a comeback but because of the outbreak of coronavirus, he couldn’t. Pandya might be eagerly waiting to play for India.
