There is some fantastic news for the Sachin Tendulkar fans as they will be able to relive some of the cricketing journeys of the man himself through his official game Sachin Saga, Cricket Champions which is slated to release in a few months time.
Tendulkar shared the teaser of the game through his official twitter handle where he can be seen executing the straight drive, cover drive, sweep and reverse sweep to perfection.
There is no doubt about the fact that even four years after his retirement, Tendulkar remains an iconic name in the world of cricket and his achievements will be etched in golden letters many years from now. He has been a champion over the 24 years he has played international cricket and dominated star-studded bowling attacks across formats. Had he played some more international T20’s, he would surely have made some records their too?
Making his international debut at a tender age of 16, Tendulkar showed glimpses of his talent on his first tour to Pakistan where he scored a fighting half-century at Sialkot where all other batsmen struggled. The pitch was so green that some of the cricketers even said it was the most difficult pitch they had played on.
He went on to notch up his maiden Test century against England in 1990 and became the 2nd youngest to score a Test century. His career flourished in the tour to Australia in 1991-92 where the “Little Master” smashed twin centuries- one on the world’s fastest track – the Perth. It was enough for the world to realise that he was someone special and would go on to rule world cricket in the future years.
His limited-overs career got a kick start in 1993-94 when he got promoted as an opener in the absence of Navjot Singh Sidhu, and there was no looking back for him. He began scoring ODI centuries and established himself as the best batsman in the world in both the formats of the game. His consistency at the highest level for 24 years is something extraordinary, and due to his exploits both on and off the field, he has been respected all across the world.
The Master Blaster played his final international match on his home ground, Wankhede Stadium against the Windies and showed glimpses of his old self with stroke-filled innings of 74.
Very excited for this one! Have played on the field for 24 years, now it's time to relive those moments all over again. Match starting soon! https://t.co/FHRID3yI2Y
