Sachin Tendulkar, The legend of Indian cricket today has undergone a knee surgery at a hospital in London. Sachin posted a photo of his injured leg on his Facebook page. He is on bed rest for a brief period of time.
Sachin said that injuries cannot be ignored even after retirement from competitive cricket, as he vowed to be back on his feet soon, and would be stronger. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli led the congratulatory messages on the eve of Harbhajan Singh’s 36th birthday. ‘Bhajji’, as he is known around, was born very this day in 1980 at Jalandhar in Punjab.
Sachin Tendulkar on Friday called for the support of Indian female wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who is on her way to the Olympics 2016 to be held in Rio de Janerio in Brazil in July. Sachin sent out a video to his official Facebook page, saying that wrestling is a game of power, and power is not only limited to the men, but is also equally possessed by the women.
He termed Phogat an inspiration for all the Indians and asked everybody to for their support on her road to the Olympics, where she could represent India and possibly challenge for a medal.
Sachin also wished India‘s veteran tennis star Leander Paes on his 43rd birthday. He wished Paes luck for the forthcoming Rio de Janerio Olympics scheduled to start on August 5. “Happy Birthday @Leander. May you have a rocking year and Chalo Rio mein Tiranga Laherayein!” Tendulkar tweeted.
