Former Indian captain and the ever magnanimous Mahendra Singh Dhoni turned a year older on the 7th of July. At 36, it is fair to say that Dhoni is indeed in the twilight of his career and on the wrong side of 30. However, given how lively he is behind the stumps and the ocean of experience and glory in his jiffy, Dhoni remains an absolute asset for the Indian side, leading up to the 2019 World Cup.
On the occasion of his birthday, former Indian batsman the undoubtedly the greatest batsman to grace this sport, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar wished him a very Happy Birthday. In a tweet, which had an image of that memorable night of the 2nd of April 2011, when India won the World Cup, Sachin wished Dhoni on the joyous occasion. “Many happy returns of the day, @msdhoni! Wish you the best in life!” wrote Tendulkar in his tweet.

We all know that a World Cup was the only title which Sachin Tendulkar didn’t have in his arsenal as a sports person. It was right under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, in that epic World Cup of 2011, that India finally won the title after 28 long years.
Dhoni, in the night of the final, led from the front like a lion with an unbeaten knock of 91to steer India to glory. More than just India winning the title, it meant a lot more as finally, Sachin Tendulkar’s dream of being a world champion was realised.
With Dhoni turning a year older, we wish him the best for his near future and hope that he gets back to his destructive abilities soon.
