Sakshi Dhoni Slams Pune Owners Again: Tags MS Dhoni In a Quote

Ever since the advent of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the cricket fans got used to watching Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the iconic yellow jersey, leading the tournament heavyweights – the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) – to title wins in 2010 and 2011.

But, the two-year ban on Chennai saw Dhoni change his loyalties for the new entrants Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) in 2016. All fans were hoping to see an interesting season but instead got a glimpse of a disappointing season.

It was the demons of the last season that instigated a change in captaincy from Dhoni to Australian star Steven Smith ahead of the IPL auctions.

While the media was busy connecting the dots of a possible rift between Dhoni and Pune owners, a controversial tweet by the brother of Pune owner Sanjeev Goenka established that all is not well in their camp.

Harsh Goenka attracted a lot of criticism for his alleged anti-Dhoni tweet which sparked a frenzy on the social media. “Smith proves who’s the king of the jungle. Overshadows Dhoni totally. Captains innings. Great move to appoint him as captain,” he said in his tweet which was deleted later.

While the tweet got Indian cricket fans up in arms, it also managed to evoke a strong response from Dhoni’s wife Sakshi who took to Instagram and seemingly took a dig at Harsh Goenka for insulting her husband.

Sakshi followed it up with another post that read: “When a bird is alive, it eats ants. When the bird is dead, ants eat the bird. Time and circumstances can change at any time. Don’t devalue or hurt anyone in life. You may be powerful today, but remember, time is more powerful than you. One tree makes a million match sticks but only one match is needed to burn a million trees. So be good and do good.”

Though Sakshi didn’t mention anyone in her posts, but it didn’t take long for the fans to realise who it was truly aimed at.

This is not the first time when Sakshi came to the rescue of her husband. Last month, when Dhoni’s personal details pertaining to the Aadhaar card were shared on the social media, Sakshi slammed the concerned authorities on Twitter and demanded stern action against those responsible
After RPSG’ loss against Kings XI Punjab, Harsh tweeted a screenshot of strike rates of Pune players from this season. The list showed that Dhoni had the least strike rate.

And now again MSD suffers a blow when Goenka mentioned that MS wants to leave Pune and IPL because next year he wants to join CSK. And again his dear wife comes to rescue with a recent tweet.

He tagged MSD too in the picture, fans too agreed with her.
