Salary hikes in store for Indian test cricketers

Big news might come on its way as the Indian test cricketers would get an increase in payment of their salaries. The BCCI President Anurag Thakur wanted to increase the payments of current test cricketers of the Indian team.
The Indian test cricketers are receiving RS 7 Lakhs per test match from the BCCI. It would be a big step from the BCCI to increase the salaries of Indian cricketers.
In the board meeting, the other issues discussed were increase in salary of pitch curators in India and appointment of the general manger for centre of excellence in Bangalore. The board wanted to discuss the relation between India and Pakistan cricketing ties in future. India and Pakistan have not played any bilateral series since 2009.
It would also discuss organising more cricketing tournaments for Indian women cricket team in India. Two of Indian women cricketers have been signed to play for big bash league.
The Indian men’s cricket team are currently playing the second test match at Kolkatta. It would be a big boost for women’s cricket team to get more games under their belt and also prove their mettle to the world.
Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti have been signed by BBL teams. It would be a great exposure for them to play with the Australian players and know about T20 cricket more.
