Morden-day cricketers have started new trends like having tattoo all over the body, six-pack abs and different hairstyles, also wearing stylish outfits. Especially, the youngster Hardik Pandya is upfront in all these trends. The ex-chief selectors Sandeep Patil has advised the coming young generation not to follow these trends of Hardik Pandya which he called ‘Nakhra’.
Sandeep Patil at the prize distribution ceremony of the under-16 Harris Shield final at Cricket Club of India’s (CCI) Brabourne Stadium said that he didn’t want the teenagers to follow the allrounder and directed them to focus more on the game. Especially, he said not to apply sun-creams because it’s just a show-off.
“There was no sun cream or something like that during our playing days; the sun has not changed. Today, even Harris and Giles Shield boys bowl, bat and field with cream on their faces. He nakhare please thambwa, Hardik Pandya hou Naka [stop these antics, do not become Hardik Pandya], Sandeep Patil said as per Mid-day.
“If you want to become [good] there are big names like Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar. Our Ajinkya Rahane is there too,” said Patil who represented India in 29 Tests and 45 ODIs.
Hardik Pandya Back In The Action:
Pandya hasn’t played with team India after the T20I series against South Africa in the home ground. He suffered from a back injury ahead of the home series against Bangladesh. He then underwent surgery in the United Kingdom. Currently, he is recovering from the injury and was also seen practising in nets.

The good news is that he will be seen playing with India A squad against Kiwi when India will tour New Zealand. Reportedly, Shivam Dube might be dropped from the team as Hardik Pandya is likely to return in the national side for New Zealand tour. Team India will tour New Zealand to play five-match T20I matches, three-match ODI and three-match Test series, starting from 24th January.
