Sania Mirza had quite a Sunday (October 29) to remember. With no tennis commitment, the multiple Grand Slam winner decided to spend her Sunday watching cricket, and she could not have asked for more.
Not only did she watch her country India putting up a brilliant performance to beat New Zealand in the third and final ODI in Kanpur, but she also enjoyed her husband Shoaib Malik’s stunning innings against Sri Lanka in the final T20 International in Lahore. And the tennis star made sure to make her presence felt on the social media as she posted series of tweets regarding the games.
She congratulated Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for their stunning 200-plus run partnership and also praised Team India for the series-clinching win. However, the highlight of the day was her tweet for Shoaib Malik.
The right-handed batsman was adjudged both the Man of the Match and Match of the series for his brilliant performance in the three-match series, and as soon as he received the motorcycle as Man of the Series award, Sania jumped into action, asking her husband if she could ride pillion.

But before Malik could reply to her tweet, Sania saw another where the cricketer was riding the motorcycle with his teammate Shadab Khan sitting on the pillion.
Expressing her disappointment, she wrote: “Ok never mind.. I guess the seat is taken already ??♀️? @realshoaibmalik @76Shadabkhan ?.”

Meanwhile, Malik has expressed his desire of winning a World Cup after playing an integral role in the series victory over Sri Lanka. He scored 51 off just 24 balls as Pakistan thrashed the Islanders by 36 runs to seal the series 3-0.

“We don’t know about tomorrow but the goal is to win and a World Cup is missing from my honour. I don’t have words to show my desire but I request (you) to pray for me,” he said after the game.
