In the first ODI against New Zealand in Hamilton, Indian cricketer KL Rahul has displayed that he is one of the best batsmen who can score runs at different positions in the batting order. The flamboyant batsman has showcased his class with a bat in the recent past. His batting style has gathered praise from the renowned cricket personalities, too.

It is not easy for a player to adapt himself to different spots but Rahul has shown how is it done. Playing the role of an opener in the T20I series, he gathered 224 runs in five matches at an average of 56. Whereas, in the ongoing ODI series, Rahul has been given the role to play in the middle order. Surprisingly, a different position didn’t halt him from scoring runs. He remained unbeaten, scoring 88* runs off 64.

Sanjay Manjrekar lauds KL Rahul for his classic stroke-making:

In his unbeaten knock, he hit six maximums. The reverse-sweep six came off Jimmy Neesham was the excellent shot of his innings. His ability to send the ball all around the ground has led a cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar heap praise on his batting display.

In his tweet, Manjrekar stated that Rahul has got the knack of scoring 360-degree shots with all class written on them.

It read ‘Only KL Rahul can make 360 degrees batting look orthodox and classical.”

We have witnessed Rahul playing as an opener in the recently-concluded T20I series. Now, in the ongoing ODI series, it will be a pleasure to watch Rahul showcasing his skills at No. 5.
