Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has ranked the Indian Premier League franchisees according to their batting strength ahead of the tournament scheduled to start to begin from 19th September. He has ranked Chennai Super Kings at the top while Rajasthan Royals at the bottom of the ranking.

In the recent post shared by Manjrekar on the Twitter account, Sanjay Manjrekar ranked the teams considering the UAE pitches. In 2014, UAE had hosted the first half of the IPL but this will be the first time that they will host the entire league. The league will be hosted in three venues-Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

At no.3, he has placed Delhi Capitals which has the blend of youngsters and experienced in their team. The youngsters Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer are two growing international cricketers while Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan are the seasoned players.

The defending champion Mumbai Indians is at No.4 while Virat Kohli-led RCB is at No.5 in Sanjay Manjrekar’s ranking. Well, RCB with the likes of AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli and after the admission of Aaron Finch forms the most lethal batting line up so it is a surprising factor that he has not picked them in the top 3.

Moving on, Majrekar has placed Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals at No.6, 7 and 8 respectively. The Rajasthan-based franchise has the most number of foreign cricketers in their team. Steve Smith, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes are the main players of the franchise. All of them are star performers for their respective national teams.
