Sri Lanka badly defeated the hosts Pakistan in the recent T20I series. The visitors clean swept the host with registering victories in all the three T20Is in that series. The no.1 team in T20I had to face defeat in their home ground against a team which is touring with the inexperienced players. Sarfaraz Ahmed-led team would be very disappointed with their performance.
Pakistan has played its first T20I series after the upsetting ICC World Cup 2019. Sarfaraz was the captain in the mega event where Pakistan’s performance was degrading. Misbah the newly appointed head coach kept confidence on the skipper and again handed over the duty to led the team. But skipper’s performances in the T20I matches was not good. He lost his wicket early against the visitors.

Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is not doing well with the bat – Rashid Latif
Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has advised Sarfaraz to take rest from the game for some time. He opines that player is not confident and if he takes rest then it will help the skipper to improve his performance.
“When you are under pressure, then I believe one should avoid one or two games. This is the same thing I said to Kamran Akmal to take a rest for four, five months but no one wants to take the rest,” said Latif in a video.
“Skipper Sarfaraz doesn’t seem confident at all, and is not doing well with the bat as well so going at number four was not a wise decision,” said Latif.
The latest T20I defeats are disheartening for the Pakistan team as they were playing in the home ground. Sri Lanka team, which was playing in Pakistan, had no major experienced players in the team. Sri Lanka showed prolific performances against the host. In ODIs, Sri Lanka lost the series by 2-0 but they made the strong comeback in T20I series. Pakistan will have to work hard and improve their performance.
