West Indies team
Kraigg Brathwaite (2/5)
With just 24 runs in this match, he deserves nothing more a rating of 2 as he failed to provide a good start in both the innings which shifted pressure in the middle order and lower order in both the innings.
Rajendra Chandrika (1/5)
6 runs, that is the contribution of Chandrika in this match. As said the openers have the responsibility of providing a good start to the team. West Indies openers failed to do in both the innings.
Darren Bravo – (1/5)
It looks like an out of form bug has bitten him as he used to start player for his team scoring oodles of runs for the team but he has not been in best of the form from last two matches. To take a note both matches have been played in his own country. Surely he will not be dropped at any cost but this does not mean that he do not make an improvement in his game. We can expect a good show from him in the next match.
Marlon Samuels (2/5)
Being the second highest run scorer in the first innings to scoring a duck in the next one. We can’t fathom how to judge him as his form is moving like a pendulum which has no stopping but it needs to be fixed for the better results in the future.
Jermaine Blackwood (5/5)
He came, he challenged and he won. In the first innings, he scored run a ball 62 runs followed by 54 balls 63 in the next innings. He smashed 16 sixes and 6 sixes in the match. After the first innings, he said that he will continue his aggressive batting and he lived up to his words and played with aggression in the innings that followed.
Roston Chase (5/5)
A century and a five-wicket haul, that is Roston chase for you who is playing only in his second Test match. When he saw that other bowlers are not contributing well, he took up the charge and took a five-wicket haul. Not just that, again when he saw that team needs him this time with the bat, he stayed on the crease performing his role which helped the Windies team to force a draw.
Shane Dowrich (3/5)
Not much to say about him as his half-century in the second innings was the only thing to talk about. But yes his crucial inning played a great role in turning things for the West Indies team in the end.
Jason Holder (4/5)
H failed to deliver with the ball but compensated for it by scoring with the bat at a time when the team needed him the most. He went on to play 99 deliveries on the last day of play and ensured that West Indies team do not lose any other wicket after his arrival. He and Roston Chase were the key for the West Indies team on the last day of play.
Devendra Bishoo (1/5)
Just one wicket in 35 overs bowled by him, he cannot ask for more than that at the end of the day.
Miguel Cummins (1/5)
Wicketless in the 26.4 over bowled by him, he cannot expect for more points. The only point he is getting is for his 24 runs in the first innings of the match.
Shannon Gabriel (3/4)
Many would question that why 3 points for a player who scalped only one wicket. The reason behind this is he was the bowler who troubled Indian batsmen a lot. He might not be able to convert that into wickets but yes he with his fiery deliveries was a big pain for Indian batsmen which also put them under some pressure.
