See Why Yuvraj Singh Broke Down At His Wedding In Goa
The role of women in Yuvraj Singh’s life is very well known. When the Indian batting star was fighting the battle with cancer, his mother Shabnam Singh was an ever-present figure to support her ailing son. In fact, not only during the cancer stage but Yuvraj’s mother has been a constant support for the southpaw throughout his life. Yuvraj’s parents divorced when he was young and his mother has been taking care of him since then. After that, another woman walked into the batting star’s life and quite obviously, we’re talking about Hazel Keech.
Yuvraj tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend at a Chandigarh Gurudwara on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. The wedding was performed as per the Sikh rituals. After that, the couple moved to Goa for their Hindu wedding ceremony on December 2. During that ceremony, the 34-year-old made sure to thank the ladies who have acted as strong pillars in his life.
According to the reports in DNA, Yuvraj Singh gave a speech on the role of women in his life. He singled out his mother Shabnam during the speech as he spoke about how she supported him throughout his life. And it was at that point that he broke down and started crying in front of all guests.
Well, we can totally understand Yuvraj’s feeling. His family has been going through some rough time prior to his marriage. Yuvraj Singh’s ex-sister-in-la Akanksha Sharma blamed his mother for her failed marriage with Yuvraj’s brother Zorawar. Not only that, Yuvraj’s father did not attend his marriage due to his religious beliefs.
Meanwhile, his Goa wedding was attended by some big personalities like Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Nora Fatehi and Angad Bedi. The wedding reception will take place on December 7 in Delhi.
