As per a report in PTI, many of the senior players will be part of the India A team that will tour England after IPL.
Players like Murali Vijay, Ajinkya Rahane, Umesh Yadav and few others might ply their trade for India A.
However, these players are expected to fly England only after playing the Test match against Afghanistan.
In fact, Rahane would also lead the team in the historic Test as it looks like.
Since Kohli is all set to miss this Test match, Rahane will take over the charge.
He is presently the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team in Test format.
Should he lead the team, it will be the second time when Rahane will lead India in the longest format of the game.
In was last in March 2017 when Rahane first led India when Kohli missed the Test due to a shoulder injury.
Rahane has led India in ODI and T20I format as well during the series of Zimbabwe in 2015 where he led the team in the absence of MS Dhoni and Kohli.
Meanwhile, it can be confirmed that Kohli will play county cricket.
However, it is not confirmed for which county club he will be playing for.
Surrey and Essex are two county clubs whose names have emerged, and Kohli will be playing for one of these two clubs.
Players like Ishant Sharma (Sussex) and Cheteshwar Pujara (Yorkshire) will also play county cricket and will fly to England soon.
Kohli will have a late arrival in England as he will join the team after the conclusion of IPL.
The final of the IPL is to be played on May 27 and it will after IPL when Kohli will fly to England.
He was retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for a huge amount of Rs 17 Crore ahead of the IPL auction.
He was already the highest paid player in IPL, and with RCB paying him Rs 17 Crore, Kohli scaled new heights.
