A lot of people help helped Dhoni in his journey from a ordinary boy to the Indian team and one of them was his friend Param who was running a shop of sports goods. With Dhoni making waves as a youngster in local cricket, Param was desperate to tie Dhoni with a big sponsor. He approached the owner of a big bat company but the owner refused to sign an unknown player. After that Dhoni’s friend said: ” Hume bhi cricket ka shauk tha par talent nahi tha. Is ladke me bahut talent hai. Agar yah ladka lamba khel gya to hume bhi lagega ki iske sath-sath hum bhi thoda khel gye.” (I was passionate about cricket too but was not talented. This boy is very talented and if he makes it to the top, i will feel that i have played a little bit too with him.)
