ToggleIn a beautiful gesture, Pakistan rising star Shadab Khan buried the hatchet with Chadwick Walton through a tweet. Shadab had to post the tweet after his ungentlemanly behaviour on the field during the second Twenty20 International against West Indies in Karachi.
The incident occurred in the ninth over of the West Indies chase when Shadab dismissed Walton. After being taken for 11 runs in his first over by the batsman, Shadab returned to clean him up with a wrong’un off the first ball of his next over.
Fired up after having the last laugh, the spinner pointed his finger at the departing Walton. He then went on to make an inappropriate comment. Following the game, Shadab was fined 20% of his match fee. The ICC found him guilty of verbal abuse. His offence amounted to a Level 1 breach of the ICC’s code of conduct, which also earned him one demerit point.
However, Shadab did not take long to realise his mistake and post a brilliant message on Twitter.
The teenager Shadab Khan thanked Walton, who is his teammate at Islamabad United in PSL, and West Indies for visiting Pakistan.
“What happens on the field stays on the field. Thank you Chadwick and West Indies for creating history, first international series in Karachi for 9 years. #PakistanZindabad”

Meanwhile, Pakistan thrashed West Indies by eight wickets to seal the series 3-0.
Batting first, West Indies scored a modest 153 for six in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, the hosts chased down the total inside 17 overs at the loss of just two wickets.
