Shahbaz Nadeem Shares The Talk Which He Had With MS Dhoni
Shahbaz Nadeem was in limelight in the last Test match against South Africa. He made the debut in the Test match in Ranchi ground and impressed everyone through his performance.
Spinner Shahbaz Nadeem is an experienced player in domestic cricket. He has played 111 first-class cricket (including Ranchi Test) and picked 428 wickets. He got the chance to play for his country on his home ground against South Africa.
Kuldeep Yadav complained about pain in his shoulder so he was replaced by Shahbaz Nadeem as a backup spinner. It was fortunate for him that he got the chance to play in the team.
On a regular day, he got the call from the Indian team when he was doing namaz. It looked that God accepted his prayer and he got selected in the team. He shares that he was very excited and booked a cab. Shahbaz reached Ranchi late night, in the early morning he was informed that he will play the match.

On the fourth day of the Test match, one more special guest was seen in the cricket ground. MS Dhoni was present to watch India’s game in Ranchi. BCCI shared the moment on Twitter where he was seen sharing wise words to the debutant.
Shahbaz Nadeem shares the talk with Times of India which he had with MS Dhoni. Shahbaz Nadeem and MS Dhoni have played together in domestic cricket. The spinner has played 106 List A cricket and picked 145 wickets.
“I met him (Dhoni) after the match. I asked him, ‘Mahi Bhai how did I do?” he told.
“Shahbaz, you have matured now. I was watching you bowl. There is a maturity in your bowling now. That is because of your domestic experience. Just don’t experiment too much and play the way you have been playing. Your journey has started, Shahbaz.’ We chatted about our journeys,” the left-arm spinner told TOI.
