Pakistan has always relied on Babar Azam, who can bat sensibly throughout the innings in 50-over matches. Speaking of the same, the legendary Shahid Afridi believes that the youngster got the goods to match Virat Kohli but on one condition.
Over the years, Babar Azam has developed himself into a match-winner for Pakistan. He got the ingredients in him to deliver the goods on his day without fail irrespective of the conditions or the opposition bowling attack.
Ever since coming to limelight with a string of applaudable performances, Pakistan cricketer Babar Azam has often come across comparisons with Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli.

The flamboyant cricketer himself is a big fan of Virat Kohli. Recently, in an interview, Babar Azam quoted that he watches the videos of Virat Kohli closely in order to get his technique right.
I hope Babar Azam becomes a big player – Shahid Afridi
Meanwhile, the former skipper of Pakistan Shahid Afridi believes that Babar Azam got the talent to match the skills of Virat Kohli. But, he suggested Babar play long innings like Virat Kohli. He feels that playing 50-60 balls or scoring half century will not make him reach the Indian stalwart.

“It is my hope that Babar Azam will become a bigger player like Virat Kohli. But he won’t become that player if he plays 50-60 balls, scores 50-60 runs but doesnt help Pakistan win the game,” Shahid Afridi said.
Babar so far has made scores of 22, 63, 30 and 48 in the four innings he played in World Cup 2019. The flamboyant batsman is yet to register his century in the world cup, something, which Shahid Afridi would like to mention in a decent way.
Currently, Pakistan is placed at the bottom half of the table. They need to win all their remaining games in order to see themselves in the race for the final four spots. In order to do that, Babar Azam needs to be on the top of his game, especially, against the South African team.
