Former Pakistan opening batsman, Imran Farhat who is no more in the radar for national selection has lashed out at former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi terming him as a “selfish player” who ruined the career of many budding cricketers for his own good.
There has been several eyebrows raise ever since the autobiography of Shahid Afridi titled “Game Changer” has been released. Be it revealing his correct age, or giving his views on Kashmir and the 2010 spot-fixing scandal, Shahid Afridi has created quite an uproar across the globe after the launch of his autobiography.
In his autobiography titled “ Game Changer” Shahid Afridi has taken a dig at former Pakistan legends like Javed Miandad and Waqar Younis. He has also lashed out at Gautam Gambhir in the book which is co-authored by Pakistan journalist Wajahar S. Khan.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Imran Farhat shared a series of tweets stating that he was ashamed to know that Shahid Afridi who had lied for 20 years surrounding his age is naming and blaming some of the legendary cricketers of Pakistan who is not regarded as one of the greatest servants of Pakistan cricket but also of world cricket.
“I am utterly ashamed of what I have heard and read so far regarding this new book of Afridi, someone who has lied about his age for 20 odd years now decides to come clean and name and blame some of our living legends,” said the 36-year-old.
“I have a lot of stories to tell regarding this so-called Saint we have had the pleasure of playing with. He sure is talented enough to become a politician,” he added.
Imran Farhat represented Pakistan in 40 Tests and 58 ODI’s. He urged other cricketers who have been criticized by Afridi in his book to come up and speak the truth and clarify what the real incidents were.

“I have a fair few stories to tell and I urge all the players who have been named and shamed to speak up and tell the truth about this selfish player who has ruined plenty of careers for his own good,” said Farhat.
