Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi has revealed his favourite batsman to bowl. Afridi had held a Question-Answer session on Twitter in which he responded back to the fan’s questions.
Shahid Afridi said he enjoyed bowling to former South African skipper AB de Villiers. In fact, Shahid Afridi was given four choices by a fan. Sri Lanka’s talisman wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara and opener Tillakaratne Dilshan were among the options. Furthermore, India’s combative opener Virender Sehwag was also one of the choices for Shahid Afridi.

AB de Villiers had all the shots in the book.
Meanwhile, AB de Villiers was the most difficult batsman to bowl to. de Villiers had all the shots in the book and had the ability to catch the bowlers off the hop.
The former Proteas batsman could move swiftly within the crease and had a range of shots options in his armoury. In fact, de Villiers was so quick on his feet that he was able to play the sweep shot against the fast bowlers. Thus, he had a number of arrows in his quiver.
However, AB de Villiers sent shocking waves to the cricketing world when he decided to hang his boots on 23rd May 2018. de Villiers said he was tired to be able to continue playing at the topmost level. In fact, de Villiers will continue to play for his domestic team, Titans as well as in the IPL for RCB.

On the other hand, Shahid Afridi also achieved great success as a leg-spinner for Pakistan. Afridi took 395 wickets in the 50-overs format. Thus, he was able to take more than 500 wickets in all the three forms of the game.
Meanwhile, Shahid Afridi also revealed he was given the title of ‘Boom Boom’ by current Indian head coach Ravi Shastri.
