Shahid Afridi asks both Pakistan and India to stay away from war 1

Amid escalating tensions between the two nuclear-armed  neighbours following India army’s surgical strikes at the terror launch pads across LOC, Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi said that India and Pakistan should not go to war against each other.

“Pakistan is a peace-loving nation, why to talk about extreme measures when things can be resolved through dialogues?, Afridi said.

“Pakistan wants a cordial relationship with all. When two neighbours fight both homes are affected. Say No to war. #Pakistan #India #Peace #neghbours,” he said in a series of tweets.

Afridi, who is also a philanthropist and mainly focus on charity work, for now, had established his Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) in March 2014 with the aim of improving and enriching the lives of the underprivileged.

The foundation aims to provide healthcare, education and sports facilities to the underprivileged children.

The flamboyant allrounder lats year irked Pakistani media after saying that he and his received moe love in India than in Pakistan.

“I’ve not enjoyed playing anywhere as much as I have in India. I am in the last stage of my career and I can say that the love I have got in India is something that I will always remember. We have not got this much love even from Pakistan,” Afridi had said.
