Shakib Al Hasan Likely to Fetch One Crore Taka in Fifth BPL Edition

The World No. 1 all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan following the astronomical rise in his international leg, is all set to cross past the mark of one crore Taka, in the upcoming edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) which will be spent on him by his franchise Dhaka Dynamites.
In the fourth edition, BPL outfit and current champions Dynamites have handed over a luxurious car to Shakib, as the documents revealed the star player in Bangladesh had collected the amount of over 90 lakh in 2016 which included his match fee for the league.
The iconic play for Bangladesh national side Shakib has been giving a hard fight in the gentleman’s game to earn respect while his priority is to represent his country across all formats.
The Twenty20 professional league in Bangladesh will kick start from November 3 which will run through to December 12, as the grand finale of the fifth T20 league will be held at Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Dhaka.
The first edition comprised of six teams which was kick-started in 2012.
However, the Magura-born batting all-rounder Shakib has been a central figure for the Tigers in Tests and One-day format, as he is averaging 40.38 in five-day format followed by 34.84 in 50-over fixtures.
The 30-year-old left-handed batsman Shakib is expected to be paid staggering amount this time around than what his BPL franchise has already drawn out for the batsman.
The reports revealed expenditure on Shakib would go past one-crore in the seven-team tournament which is observed by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) following the formation of the governing council that takes care of the activities taking place in the professional league.
The edition would also introduce top-notch players in the competition from several countries; as such players are expected to fetch the remuneration from their different league sides.
Interestingly, the award money for the marquee players has also found its space within the consent of the governing body of BPL.

While talking about the foreign stars, Australian all-rounder, and England wicket-keeper batsman, Jos Butler are in the list of the highest paid players after signing for financial benefits, according to the BPL body.
The marquee cricketers from the hosting country include Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim followed by Tamim Iqbal, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and all-rounder Mahmudullah alongside Shakib are bound to receive 50 lakh under the primary policy of the BPL.
Concluding, left-handed top-order batsman and Sabbir Rahman are expected to collect a round of 45 lakh in Bangladesh’s currency.
As the major cities in Bangladesh will wear a festive look in November-December, the tournament is bound to kick off with the curtain raiser between Dhaka Dynamites and Sylhet, according to the new tournament itinerary.
In 237 professional T20 matches, Shakib bagged 267 wickets at an average of impressive 21.07. He scored 3,740 at the average of 20.77.
After making his international debut in 2006, Shakib played 177 ODIs, 51 Tests and 59 T20Is. He scored 6,606 runs in 174 innings of 50-over format and 6,086, in 86 five-day format innings.
