Unarguably the greatest leg-spinner of all time, Shane Warne has slammed Cricket Australia for being too ‘greedy’.
Warne’s latest remarks have once again hinted a divide between Cricket Australia and its players.

Warned had said “greed” is the reason why Cricket Australia decided to expand the Big Bash League next summer.

Warne had kept mum ever since Cricket Australia announced their 40-year broadcasting partnership with Channel Nine.
Warne works as a commentator for Channel Nine. However, the silence has come to an end, as he took to Twitter on Saturday to raise his concerns about the direction in which the game is heading Down Under.

The Big Bash League had expanded to a 43-match tournament, and the organisers have now decided to turn it into a home and away format.
Which means the tournament will now be a 59-matches tournament including the finals?
Warne in his tweets wrote the risk of ‘greed’ will eventually take over, and ‘money’ will be the sole priority.
“Australian Cricket should be an equal partnership between the players & the board, then everyone would be on the same page, sure they won’t always agree – but if both parties attitude is – what’s best for Australian Cricket & not themselves – then Cricket & the fans would b happy.”

“Ps And hopefully greed would then be thrown out the door too! For example – it’s ridiculous that the BBL will have a lot more games next season & beyond – It’s a great comp & less is more should be the attitude – not let’s put more games on for $$ – diluting a wonderful product.”
