Shane Warne Reveals His All Time IPL-XI; MS Dhoni To Be The Captain 1

The Australian spin legend, Shane Warne has revealed his all-time playing XI of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was the first captain to win the IPL title in 2008, as Rajasthan Royals clinched the victory in by beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the finals.

On his Facebook page, Warne was asked, “Sportsmate – cricket live & I have a question for you. What is your all time playing 11 from the #IPL over the last 10 years? Remember you are only allowed four overseas players !!!!!!”

Warne wrote, “My team would be…..” and unveiled his choice of players. However, He picked Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the captain.

Though, this is the first time Mahendra Singh Dhoni has not been named as the captain of a side in IPL. He was removed from the captaincy of Rising Pune Supergiant to make Steve Smith, the captain prior to the tenth edition of IPL. It was not taken well by his fans!

Whenever we talk about the skippers who has been most successful in IPL, we always mention the name of Dhoni. Yes, he is the most successful captain of the tournament leading his team Chennai Super Kings to in two IPL title which only two other teams have achieved.

He holds the record for playing most IPL matches as a skipper too. He led in 143 matches, winning 83 and lost 59.
