Shane Watson, the batsman of Chennai Super Kings, said that the team led by MS Dhoni, still believes that they can turn things around if they manage to perform their best in the remaining four matches. CSK’s remaining four matches are against MI, RCB, KKR and KXIP which are do or die matches for CSK who also wants some other matches to go in their favour if they want to qualify for playoffs.

CSK are currently at the bottom of the points table with just three wins in 10 matches. CSK have made it to the playoff stages every season in the past which looks bleak in IPL 2020.

CSK Are Languishing At Bottom Of Points Table With 6 Points From 3 Wins

Most of the experts have already ruled Chennai Super Kings out of the race for the IPL 2020 playoffs, but the players in the team though admit that it is tough, but they believe that they can still make it if they all perform to the best of their abilities in the next 4 do or die matches.

This season has been the worst for the CSK who is one of the most successful teams with three IPL titles in 2010, 2011 and 2018 and are only behind Mumbai Indians who have four in terms of IPL title wins.

In this season, CSK will likely lose their reputation of being the only team to have made it to the playoffs in every season that it has played.

The team currently is struggling at the bottom of the points table with just three wins in 10 matches. Although difficult, they can still make it to the playoffs if they win all their remaining four matches against Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab.

Besides that, they might also need a couple of other results to be in their favour. The net run rate and other factors might also come into consideration later if CSK have collected necessary points to make it to playoffs.

Shane Watson Believes CSK Will Have To Turn Things Around In Next 4 Games

But the Chennai Super Kings opening batsman Shane Watson said that the team was ready to push their limits and that they still believed that they can make it to the crucial playoffs by turning things around by winning remaining matches by playing incredible cricket. Shane Watson played as a batsman only since 2019.

“We will have to turn things around and play some incredible cricket over the next 4 games and a lot of other things will have to fall our way as well.”

“But one thing that I can guarantee is that we will be pushing the limits at how good we can be.”

“There is no reason that why we can’t go on a run and put everything together and build momentum from the start of the game and hold it,” the batsman said in his Youtube video titled ‘The Debrief’.

Shane Watson also said that it was their fans for whom the team was willing to give in everything that they have left.

“We know that we have always got unconditional love and support from the CSK fans and we will be doing everything to repay that love and support,” the Australian added.

CSK are further down after all-rounder Dwayne Bravo was ruled out from further participation. Dwayne Bravo picked up six wickets from six matches after missing initial games due to injury before it struck again. In the match against Mumbai Indians, CSK have picked Imran Tahir, Narayan Jagadeesan, Imran Tahir and Rituraj Gaekwad while MI skipper Rohit Sharma is out injured.
