Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif Accept Breach Of Discipline, Deny Spot Fixing
The duo of Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif, in their reply to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), have accepted the breach of discipline but have denied any sort of fixing activity during the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Both Sharjeel and Latif were suspended by the PCB and sent back home last month in between the PSL due to fixing allegations. The board then sought an explanation from them.
“They have accepted that they met with a person in Dubai who later turned out to be a bookmaker. They have also admitted that they breached discipline by not informing the team management about their meeting and offers made to them,” a reliable source said.
Along with them, Nasir Jamshed was also suspended by the PCB as it was the southpaw, who allegedly introduced both the players to a bookie named Yousuf.
The apex cricketing board will now form a judicial commission headed by a judge, who will announce the verdict in two to three months.
Meanwhile, the final of the second edition of PSL will be played on March 5 in Lahore. Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi will face each other in the final of the league amidst high security in the state.
