Want to be a professional cricketer?
PCB Cheif Shahryar Khan has said that the newly elected President of BCCI, Shashank Manohar, has invited him for a meeting over the decision on the Indo-Pak bilateral series. The series, though, looks very uncertain due to the political relations that has cropped up in the recent past.
Shahryar Khan added that Shashank Manohar was absent from the ICC Conference that was held in Dubai, so he called Mr. Manohar and he was invited for a meeting. He added that Shashan Manohar has asked him to visit India after a Working Committee’s meeting of the BCCI. Khan is hopeful of a final call in the coming 8-10 days.
Khan had earlier asked the BCCI officials, those who attended the meeting in Dubai, to make a final call in the coming 10-12 days. He added that Shashank Manhohar has said that he is keen to resume ties between both the teams and thus improve the relations between both the Boards.
He also added that BCCI should respect the MoU they signed regarding having bilateral series betwee 2015-23. Also, Nawaz Sharif has given them clearance for a series and a lot now depends on the Modi government if India has to play Pakistan.
With India’s FTP very busy, the only chances of playing Pakistan seems to be in the coming December, after India is free from South African series and before the Aussies arrive India for a series.
