Shaun Marsh is going to be a key player for us – Aaron Finch
Meanwhile, before that match, Melbourne Renegades captain Aaron Finch spoke about Shaun Marsh. He opines that Marsh will be an important player for his team in BBL. Finch has faith on his Australian teammate’s ability.
“It’s important we let Shaun play his natural game, and not expect anything more than what he’s done in the past for Australia and the Scorchers. Look at his IPL numbers, in the Big Bash, any time he’s played for Australia, his numbers are extraordinary,” Aaron Finch said.

“He is going to be a key player for us. He’s a huge asset to have for us and hopefully someone we can bat around and let him do his thing. I honestly think he’s the most underrated T20 player in the world,” Cricket.com.au quoted Finch as saying.
In IPL, he started playing for Kings XI Punjab in 2008 and spent 10 years for the team before being released ahead of 2018 auction. He has played 71 IPL matches and scored 2477 runs. Marsh went unsold in both 2018 and 2019 edition.
Shaun Marsh gained fame in the international platform after his impressive performance in inaugural IPL. But he has not got many chances for his country as he has just played 15 T20Is for Australia.
