While speaking to Geo News, former Pakistan speedster – Shoaib Akhtar has lashed out at his ex-teammate, Misbah-ul-Haq for his recent comments which had not gone well with Rawalpindi Express. In his latest statement, Misbah had maintained that Pakistan had not done well even before him joining as a chief coach.
Akhtar reiterated that Misbah, who is a chief-selector-cum coach, should give positive statements and forget what had taken place in the past. Shoaib’s explanation came after being asked about Misbah’s approach before the media.
Don’t complain but take decisions: Shoaib Akhtar to Misbah-ul-Haq

The star bowler Akhtar further added that Misbah should have taken responsibility on his shoulders rather complaining about the poor results of the team. Known for his nonchalant approach, Akhtar added, that if he would have been appointed at former captain’s position, he would have admitted his mistake and find the solution — to sort out things rather making excuses.
Outspoken Akhtar has often criticised Pakistan team for their poor performances in the recent past. However, he had subsequently suggested how his nation’s team could become stronger to make some courageous decisions in terms of merit and methodology.
“Honest and strong people don’t complain but take decisions. If I had been in his place, I would have said that it is my fault, I will set it right,” Shoaib Akhtar lambasted Misbah on Geo News.
Shoaib’s explanation came after being asked about Misbah’s approach before the media. Recently, Pakistan had lost the Test series and drawn T20I series 1-1 in England.
Misbah-ul-Haq should focus on improving things: Shoaib Akhtar

As Misbah is playing a dual role, Akhtar remarked that it becomes very important for a person like him to work on the betterment of the game.
Shoaib further added that Misbah should have said, that he is there to play a quintessential role as a supremo rather looking at the past.
“That is the straight point. He should have said that what had happened earlier or not happened is left behind, and now that I am at the job, I will improve things,” he said.
The 45-year-old Akhtar, who also runs his YouTube channel, asserted that he’s not like Misbah. He believes the former cricketer should have shown buoyancy on being part of the management.
“Playing around here and there, is probably Misbah but this is not me. I am not like that. Whatever has happened, now that you are there, you need to say with confidence that you are there now, you will see how to set things right,” Shoaib Akhtar stated.
Shoiab, who represented Pakistan between 1997 and 2011, has featured in 163 ODIs, 46 Tests and 15 T20Is. He had snared 444 wickets across formats.
