Former Pakistani speedster, “The Rawalpindi Express”, Shoaib Akhtar has started another innings of his life. Recentyas has been married to a 20-year old girl from Haripur in the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa province in Pakistan.
The wedding was a secret affair with only close family members attending the gathering. A media source of Pakistan, Duniya TV channel reported that Akhtar married Rubab in a quiet nikah ceremony in Haripur.
According to the report, “The haq mahar has been kept at half a million rupees and Akhtar’s parents attended the simple nikahceremony.”
According to family sources, the ‘Nikkah’ was solemnised after ‘Isha’ prayers on June 23rd in Mohalla Ramzani. The ceremony was attended by close family members. There was a rumour about Akhtar’s marriage in the beginning of this month and on June 7th, Akhtar denied about the rumour of his marriage and he even tweeted about that.
