With political confusion in full swing in Pakistan, everyone is trying to give their opinion and add to it and it also includes our very own Shoaib Akhtar. The former Pakistani fast bowler shared a post on the social media which showed President Mamnoon Hussain administering oath to New Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi referring to either of them as ‘Hindu Political leader.’
“A Hindu political leader Mr Darshan Lal is now a cabinet minister in Pakistanwerehis is our polite way of saying Pakistan is a secular state,” wrote Akhtar along with the picture which showed the President and the newly elected Prime Minister. The tweet didn’t go down well with most of his fans with many questioning his knowledge.

Akhtar responded by saying that the picture was just used as a reference and people should stop questioning his IQ and concentrate on the message. “Friends, rather dan questioning my IQ plz concentrate on d message: We respect ALL religions. BTW oath pic in last tweet was a reference,” Akhtar’s tweet read.

Arguably the fastest bowler to have ever graced the game, Shoaib Akhtar was a consistent performer for Pakistan during his playing days and terrorised many batting lineups with his sheer pace. He used to intimidate batsman with his pace and was regarded as the fastest bowler of his time. He bowled the fastest recorded delivery in the 2003 World Cup to Nick Knight.
During his career, Akhtar was involved in several controversies and uncountable altercations with opposition players. One of his most memorable moments in his career will undoubtedly be the twin wickets of Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar in successive deliveries of the Kolkata Test in 199. Both the legendary batsmen were beaten for sheer pace and their stumps went for a cartwheel. It was an amazing sight for the fast bowler who improved with each passing game.
Despite his numbers being impressive it hardly showed what Akhtar had to offer. He was a lethal weapon for any captain and on his day he had the ability to run through any top batting line-ups. The Rawalpindi Express was also a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise in the inaugural edition of Indian Premier League. The Rawalpindi Express eventually bid adieu to international cricket after the 2011 World Cup.
