Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has done a Virender Sehwag in replying to Ian Chappell’s comment of not inviting Pakistan in future if they continue to under-perform.
Ian Chappell’s comment came in the wake of recently concluded Test series against Australia, where the visitors performed poorly, without putting in much heart.
While putting his thoughts out on Twitter, Shoaib said asking Pakistan to sit home and not inviting them to play in Australia is no solution and won’t serve the purpose either. He, then defended his comment by dragging England in his reply, saying that the three Lions haven’t won a world cup so does that mean they shouldn’t participate in world cup anymore?
Pak lacked grit: Chappell. I agree but not comin 2 Australia no remedy. England never won World Cup but doesn’t mean dey shudn’t participate

In his next tweet, Akhtar said he agrees with Chappell’s comment of Pakistan lacking grit and determination during the series, where they were hammered completely and recorded their 12th consecutive loss on the Australian soil.
Shoaib, however, said Pakistan was good enough to not lose the Test series against England in July-August last year, where the four-match series was drawn two-all, and courtesy to that, Pakistan for the first time ever in ICC Test Rankings attained the pole position.
Though now, they have slipped to number fifth position, following five back-to-back losses against New Zealand and Australia combined.
Agree partially wid @ianchappelli dat Pakistan lacked grit but the same team drew 2-2 vs England less dan an year ago.

Pakistan will now face Australia in first of the three ODIs, starting on January 15th at Gabba, Brisbane.
