Want to be a professional cricketer?
Pakistan national cricket team is under full revolution in guidance of the newly appointed head coach Misbah-ul Haq. The team is preparing for Australia Tour which is scheduled next month. The squad has been announced for the tour. Veteran players Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez are not in the T20I squad which has surprised both the players.
Strategy for Australia Tour
Misbah-ul-Haq and Babar Azam, the new T20I captain, demanded Malik and Hafeez in the T20I team for next month Australia tour but Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman and CEO disagreed, as per sources. The Board wants to give a chance to youngsters keeping the mind for the next T20 World Cup 2020.
In the recent T20I series against Sri Lanka, Misbah gave the chance to Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal, who made the comeback in the team, were unsuccessful in standing the hopes of the team. So, Misbah didn’t push to admit the Malik and Hafeez to the T20I team which will tour Australia.
Pakistan had to face defeat in T20I series against Sri Lanka in the home ground. The inexperienced team was able to defeat the No.1 T20I team in the home ground. Pakistan had to face a lot of criticism after Sri Lanka managed to clean sweep the host. Sarfaraz Ahmed had to pay the loss as he was sacked from captaincy. The chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq selected Babar Azam to lead the team in T20I.
Pakistan will tour Australia to play three-match T20I series which will start from 3rd November. They will also play two-match Test series which will be the part of the inaugural edition of ICC World Test Championship (WTC). It will be the first Test series for Pakistan in the WTC which will be played from 21st November. Misbah has given the command of the Test team to Azhar Ali.
