Dec 26, 2019 at 2:39 PM
Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik scratched old wounds on Christmas day while wishing the fans on Twitter. Though the two rival nations India and Pakistan haven’t played a bilateral series after January 2013, the competition between the two nations has never ended.
The two countries have faced each other in the ICC or Asia Cup events, but they last played a series together in December-January 2012/13 when Pakistan toured India to play two T20s and three ODIs against India. They together haven’t played a Test series since 2007.
However, Pakistan ex-captain Shoaib Malik has proved with his statement that the rivalry between the two countries will never end. On 25th December, Shoaib wished the fans Merry Christmas as well as ‘Happy 25th December’. He also posted the picture of the game when Pakistan won the T20I game against India on December 25 in 2012.
“Merry Christmas dosto ?? and a very happy 25th December ?”, Shoaib Malik tweeted

About the game:
The game, which Shoaib Malik mentioned in his post, was played in Bengaluru when Pakistan visited India to play two-match T20I series and three-match ODI series. On 25th December 2012, India played the first T20I match of the series.
India was given the task to bat first at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. After the fall of the first wicket, India could not gain stability and went on to lose the wickets, setting the target of 134 runs (133/9).
