Eight year old Misbah likes to play with dolls inside her home, she cared little for cricket with which the grown-ups were so obsessed with and in the end the game which she didn’t even care about took her life. Misbah lost her life to the aerial shots fired by the Pakistan’s fan over Pakistan’s wins against Ireland.

Misbah who lived in a small house at Nishter Basti, near Old Sabzi Mandi, studied in class II. Her father Rasheed by profession is a laborer, he said that his daughter was playing in the yard when she suddenly fell on the floor and was bleeding.

Rashid also added that a stray bullet took his daughter’s life. There were number of aerial shots in the area and before he could take her inside the house she was hit by one of the aerial shots.

After being hit the girl was immediately taken into the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital but she took her last breath before they could reach the facility. Family tried to stage a demonstration to protest the incident happened with them but not many people cared to join them.

Police were informed by this incident and they confirmed that the girl was killed by a stray bullet. Sub-inspector Ishtiaq told The Express Tribune that one of the stray bullets from the bout of aerial firing taking place after Pakistan won the match against Ireland hit the girl on her head, killing the victim on the spot.
