Rajasthan Royals’ Shreyas Gopal has revealed that he gets nervous while bowling to Royal Challenger’s batting mainstay Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. However, he has also shared how he can get the wickets of the two successful IPL batsmen.
The 26-year old Shreyas Gopal, who is still to play for India, will play the third season for the RR in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League in the UAE.
In the recent interaction, Gopal said that de Villiers and Kohli are so destructive and versatile players that they can destroy any bowler’s plan. He said that he gets jitters while bowling against them even though he has got both of them out several times during the league.

“They are so destructive and versatile in their game that I get jitters while bowling to them even though I have got them out many times. They are probably two players against whom you cannot really come out with a plan.”
Shreyas Gopal has also shared the tactic to take Kohli and AB wickets. He stated that the only thing he could do when he bowls to the duo is read the pitch and overhead conditions on the day of the game. He added that it was his biggest privilege of bowling against the two.
“You can only try and assess conditions on that particular day, try and assess the wicket on that particular day and back your skills to the best of your abilities. And that’s about it. To bowl and play against them is the biggest privilege.“
Shreyas Gopal wishes to pick the wicket of KL Rahul and Andre Russell in IPL 2020:

Shreyas Gopal also expressed his desire to pick up the wickets of Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Andre Russell and Kings XI Punjab skipper, KL Rahul.
“I would love to get Russell and Rahul out. Rahul is one of the top players in the world currently. I am his big fan. He is a close friend as well and I also have immense respect for the kind of person that he is and the work ethic he has.”
Meanwhile, IPL 2020 is scheduled to begin on 19th September in the UAE.
