Simon Doull Names His Team India Squad for 2019 World Cup
Former New Zealand medium-pacer Simon and now a famous broadcasting personality Simon Doull has named his 15-member Team India squad for the upcoming 2019 World Cup. Doull who focused on the nucleus and revealed Virat Kohli’s side is the one to look at, in the global event.
The 49-year-old Doull has picked a core side for the Men in Blue while considering the performances. However, the middle-order concern has always been a matter for the debate.
So far, the World ranked No.2 in ICC’s ODI rankings saw the top-order doing a bulk of the job. Kohli will shoulder the responsibility alongside opening pair Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, who looks all together a different batsman in global events, is known for providing an early impetus.
Doull picks out-of-form Rahul:
Interestingly, Doull has backed KL Rahul who is struggling with his form. Rahul alongside Pandya recently faced wrath following a controversy regarding Koffee with Karan TV show.
The duo was suspended with immediate effect on January 11. However, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) lifted the interim ban on January 24.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) CoA has sought suggestions from Amicus Curiae PS Narasimha before lifting the ban on the duo, pending inquiry.
In between Rahul and Pandya faced a four-match suspension. The selection committee straightaway picked Pandya in the squad amid the ongoing five-match ODI series on Kiwis shores.
In the league of all-rounders, Doull picked Pandya as an obvious choice followed by Ravindra Jadeja and Kedar Jadhav.
Chahal-Kuldeep to lead slow bowling:

Owing to a consistency, Doull maintained Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have picked themselves in the squad.
Recently, South Africa captain Faf du Plessis maintained India would go down as one of the premium contenders for the quadrennial event.
The ODI showpiece will kick off in England on May 30 when hosts will take on the Proteas in London.
