Wasim Jaffer:

The prolific run-getter Wasim Jaffer has been a consistent performer in the domestic set-up. He had been unlucky to have an extended run in the national team as he struggled with the bat at the top-flight cricket. After making his first-class debut in 1996-97, Jaffer had piled runs at his will. Following a terrific show in the Ranji Trophy, Jaffer made his Test debut in 2000.
In 2002, Jaffer got a chance to prove his mettle, but unfortunately, he had struggled to put up a good show England and Windies. The right-handed batsman managed just 215 runs in five Tests which was comprised of nine innings. At an average of 51.19, Jaffer has scored 19147 runs in 253 first-class fixtures. He had slammed 57 tons and 88 half-centuries to his name. In 31 Tests, the 41-year-old had amassed 1944 runs to his name.
