In case, a news item currently running on NDTV is to be believed The Board of Control for Cricket in India has expressed its desire to appoint former cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid as advisors on all cricket-related matters. In its working committee meeting on Sunday, the Board decided to seek the approval of the legendary players on the matter.
All right, this particular pleasant news has definitely raised the hopes of millions of the fans of Dada, Saurav Ganguly, who will hopefully agree to start a fresh inning in the history of Indian Cricket take a role of the advisor. In fact, ever since Mr. Jagmohan Dalmia had taken over as the President of the BCCI, it was expected that Dada will contribute in serving team India one way or the other. Although the other candidates – legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid the wall – are equally capable, but given the bold and aggressive track record, Ganguly was short listed.
