ToggleNobody would have ever imagined that there would be a day when we would be living without cricket. Coronavirus outbreak has somewhat made it pretty true by disappointed avid fans as well. It has been almost two weeks since the Indian cricketers haven’t played a match. Even BCCI president Sourav Ganguly seems to be bored with no cricket.
South Africa team travelled India to play three-match ODI series but because of increasing COVID-19 cases, the series was called off. India’s annual cricket festival, Indian Premier League(IPL), has also been postponed till mid-April and there is still no confirmation that when it will start.
All around the globe every cricket event has been postponed. Every ongoing and upcoming has been postponed until further notice. In between this, the BCCI has also not much work to do.
Sourav Ganguly gets free time:
Taking to Instagram, Sourav Ganguly shared the post and wrote that he can’t remember the time when he was so free.
“Amidst all the coronavirus scare .. happy to sit in the lounge at 5pm .. free… can’t remember when I did last ..” Ganguly captioned a post he shared on Instagram.
Before holding the post in BCCI, former Indian cricketer was the president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).
The 47-year-old had served there for more than five years. Thus, he had always a busy schedule but now amid the pandemic, he has less work which he seems to enjoy.
BCCI orders work from home:

Earlier, BCCI has given four-day work from home to all the employees to curb the spread of the infectious virus which has taken the lives of more than 7000 people around the world.
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) and the CAB have also followed BCCI’s footsteps and have closed their offices till Saturday.
As of now, the virus has impacted 166 people in India. The number of cases rising may highly-likely force BCCI to postpone the international series as well as IPL.
