Sourav not to make official complaint against Gambhir's illicit comments
Despite the allegation of sleazing against him made by Bengal skipper Manoj Tiwari, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has decided not to make any official complaint against Delhi skipper Gautam Gambhir on this issue.
Sourav Ganguly, the CAB president has been informed about everything by Bengal captain over telephone immediately after the incident. And Ganguly, speaking on the issue, said on Sunday, “I have come to know everything from Manoj over telephone. Even, I have also been informed that Gambhir made unlawful comments about me while having spat with Manoj. But while talking to Manoj over phone I have advised him not to concentrate on these matters. I have asked him to concentrate on his batting and team’s performance.”
Tiwari had made serious allegations stating that Gambhir, despite being the skipper of KKR in the IPL for last couple of years, made illicit comments about Bengali people as well as about Sourav Ganguly.
Tiwari who exhibited a brave 97 in the Bengal’s second innings to ensure three points from their crucial away match, however said, “Yes, following advice from dadi (Sourav) I have also decided to set my focus on the game.
“But at the time, it is also a fact that I have listened sleazing several times on different occasions. But in this case, I could not control myself when I heard Gambhir was using abusive languages against Bengali people and Sourav.”
