Rishabh Pant, Indian cricket’s new 19-year-old sensation, celebrated his recent success with a brand new purchase of a swanky purple Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV.
The luxury car can make anyone fall in love with it and Pant’s reaction after acquiring the wheels was no different.
The teenager posted a picture of the car on Instagram to let his followers know about the new gift which he presented himself. However, as it happens with newly made successes, Pant was seen racing the car at a speed of 126 kph in the short video clip of the ride.
Well, having such a powerful car obviously tempts one to race the throttle. But, a small cause of worry was the speed at which he was driving and even more worrying was the traffic surrounding him. Pant drove past his SUV with heavy vehicles, several cars and bikes around him.
Logically, it is perfectly fine to get an SUV past the 120 mark considering the seat belt around the driver. It is illegal at many places but very common sight everywhere. So, what Pant did wasn’t something distinctive. However, with erratic drivers on all sides, it looked very risky for him to drive in such a fashion.
Pant at the moment is the most valuable young cricketer in the country. After a stellar domestic season, the wicket-keeper batsman registered a total of 366 runs in 14 IPL 2017 matches at an average of 26.14 playing for his franchise Delhi Daredevils.
It was a great tournament for the left-hander and helped him grab some attentions with his clean and effortless striking. His noteworthy performance also prompted many to place his name as one of the probable in the Champions Trophy squad. The selectors did not pick him though.
He was one of the most talked about cricketer after the squad was announced. Many felt it was unfair but the selectors clarified that he is in the minds of everyone and would be provided opportunities shortly.
But, the 19-year, at the moment, is considered as the direct successor to MS Dhoni who is nearing the end of his iconic career.
