- Jonny Bairstow – The Man Of The Moment

Exactly 12 months back, England’s gloveman Jonny Bairstow was looking for his maiden hundred while practicing for hours.
Now, the scene is different. The 27-year-old Bairstow’s has three Test centuries and eight half-centuries to his name this calendar year. His decent performances came while batting lower down the order, which caught the attention of cricket fans.
The right-handed wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow is the second best scorer after his teammate Joe Root with 1470 runs in 17 Tests at an average of 58.80 in 2016.
Bairstow during the season also went past the previous best of 1045 set by a wicket-keeper in 2000 by Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower.
He scored his maiden hundred against South Africa in Cape Town before hitting 140 at his home (Headingley) while coming into bat at No. 7 when England were struggling.
