4. Ken Higgs (1937-2016)

The former English bowler died on September 7 aged 79. Regarded as one of the finest bowlers in the domestic circuit during his playing career, Higgs represented England in only 15 Tests but did not fail to make a mark in the limited opportunity. He took 71 wickets at an impressive average of 20.74 in 15 Tests. In a first-class career that spanned over 25 years, the legendary Lancashire and Leicestershire bowler took 1,536 wickets.
